Macbook Pro DIY repair

Been doing quite a few repairs on my macbook pro 2006 model. It is quite an easy machine to work on.

First repair I ever did was a cracked screen (dropped at a dance party, kids these days love the Black Eyed Peas????)- Apple wanted some $800 to fix it, so I decided to fix myself. Last week I decided it was time to upgrade the hard drive, and I am so glad I did- it is working just like new. And today I took my power supply apart because it was doing this, I had gone to the Apple store in NY when I was there over xmas and the genius said it was the wrong end fraying and because it was a power adapter from Japan it was not covered… Well today before the hazard got any worse I took some chisels, a hammer, soldering supplies and duct tape to fix it. The key here was the chisels- got the molded plastic apart in about 30 seconds.
